Fisgard Lighthouse

Fisgard Lighthouse was constructed in 1859-1860 to mark the entrance to Esquimalt Harbour and is the first lighthouse on the west side of Canada.  The tide was very low on the day that I took this photo and  I was able to walk out quite a distance from the Esquimalt causeway and used my 70x200mm zoom lens to capture this photograph.  The sun was shining directly on the lighthouse and the clouds had a nice variation of light and dark to create a perfect background.
