Kleuren

Philipsburg is the capital of Dutch Sint Maarten, a Caribbean island that is divided into two sides; Dutch and French.  Front Street in Phillipsburg is a shopper’s paradise and stretches along an entire street devoted to shopaholics, with colourful stores and restaurants lined with palm trees. Front Street runs parallel to the seafront and is the main shopping street of Phillipsburg.  As you walk from store to store, between the buildings you’ll catch a glimpse of the turquoise-blue color sea. This beautiful patterned pathway, the colourful restaurants and palm trees that lined this walkway leading to the breathtaking turquoise blue color sea was truly breathtaking.  "Kleuren" in Dutch means "Colors" and I thought this to be a fitting name for this print.
