Stellar's Jay

I loved getting a photo of this Steller Jays and its natural colouring.  It's a common bird of western forests and is found in dense coniferous woods of the mountains and the northwest coast.

While on Vancouver Island we hiked to Lower Myra Falls in Strathcona Provincial Park which is located at the centre of the Island and is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the lower falls.   After our hike we had a picnic lunch and snacks and shared our peanuts with the beautiful vibrant blue Stellar's Jay.
