Then There Were Three - Wild Horses

Three wild horses were relaxing side by side near Arizona's Salt River.  I was able to capture a photo of pure freedom and untamed spirit in one stunning moment.

About the Region:

These wild horses are historic and majestic creatures and roam freely in their 20,000-acre habitat along the lower Salt River in the Tonto National Forest, just outside of Mesa, Arizona.  They travel around the lower Salt River and in the Foothills in small bands of 20 or so horses and are a protected species.  I was lucky enough to photograph these three horses as they walk together in the foothills.
