White Stallion

This photo showcases Rascal, the mischievous white stallion who's stolen the hearts of everyone in the Tonto National Forest. I was able to photograph this wild stallion in his element, where he roams freely. 

About the Region:

The Salt River wild horses are the historic and majestic creatures roaming the lower Salt River in the Tonto National Forest, just outside of Mesa, Arizona. Enjoyed by millions of visitors to the Tonto National Forest, the Salt River wild horses roam freely in their 20,000-acre habitat along the lower Salt River, protected by A.R.S 3-1491, the State law passed in 2016 for their protection. They are the icon of the wild, free spirit of Arizona and the American West.
